Sleep Apnea Snoring
Heavy Snoring is a typical sleep apnea symptom, this is the loud
snore that disrupts the whole house, other than the person snoring.
You try rolling them over, putting a pillow over your head,
wakening them and telling them to stop snoring. Finally you have to
move to another bedroom. Even then you can probably hear the
snoring.
Stop Breathing
Stopping Breathing, The Sleep Apnea sufferer will actually
stop breathing during sleep, this can happen up to 400 times a
night and can last as long as 10-30 seconds. The sleeper may then
make a loud snort, semi-awaken and toss restlessly. This will
continue throughout the night and can be quite alarming for the bed
partner.
This night time restlessness then causes the next sleep apnea
symptom
Daytime Sleepiness
Excessive Daytime Sleepiness is another typical sleep apnea
symptom. Now we all like a day time nap occasionally but the
sleep apnea sufferer, deprived of deep sleep will fall asleep at
work, when driving a vehicle, in the middle of a sentence,
regularly falling asleep while watching television, reading the
paper etc. The more severe Sleep Apnea sufferers will wake from
this brief nap (may only last a few seconds) and continue
what they were doing, as if nothing had happened.
Below are some other symptoms, these could be related to a variety

There are two types of Sleep Apnea,
Obstructive Apnea
Obstructive Apnea is when something is blocking the passage or
windpipe (Trachea) When you try to breathe you can not get enough
air due to the blockage. Your windpipe might be blocked
by your tongue, tonsils, Uvula, fatty tissue in the throat or
relaxed throat muscles.
Nine out of Ten Sleep Apnea sufferers have Obstructive Apnea.
Central
Apnea
This type of apnea relates to the central nervous system. The
muscles you use to breathe do not get the 'Okay' signal from your
brain either because the brain is not sending this signal or it is
getting interrupted.
